Geocache Description:

S. D. (Special Delivery) Kluger is the narrator of the Rankin/Bass special Santa Claus is Comin' to Town. S.D. is a friendly mailman who drives a snowplow, and tells the local children how Santa Claus came to be. He recites the entire story of Santa Claus's origins, including how he met his wife Jessica, and how he got his magic powers from the Winter Warlock, how elves came to be, and showing where he found flying reindeer.

S.D. later served a similar function in a non-Christmas Rankin/Bass special The Easter Bunny is Coming to Town. The character is a caricature of his performer, Fred Astaire.

The winter series theme this year involves characters from the classic Rankin/Bass Stop-Motion animation TV Specials that first aired in the 60's, 70's, and early 80's.
