Geocache Description:

Winterbolt is character who appears in Rudolph and Frosty's Christmas in July. He is an evil snow sorcerer who brings blizzards and snowstorms upon the North Pole. He nearly strikes a resembelence with Winter Warlock. When Lady Borealis come face to face with Winterbolt in human form, she used her powers of light to place him in a very long slumber.

Many years later, he reawakened from his eternal sleep and prepares to spread chaos and sorrow once again. When he hears that Santa Claus is king of the North Pole, he was furious until he came up with a sinister plot to eliminate him. He also discovered how to extinguish Rudolph's nose. At the near end of Rudolph and Frosty's Christmas in July, Lilly Loraine threw her airsoft pistols at his ice scepter and destroyed it. When Winterbolt's powers died, he turned into a tree.

The winter series theme this year involves characters from the classic Rankin/Bass Stop-Motion animation TV Specials that first aired in the 60's, 70's, and early 80's.
