Geocache Description:

19 June, 2015 Update: The remainder of the series is now archived. For those of you who had the majority of the Muppet clues and still want to go for the final, please feel free to contact us and request the missing numbers. The final will remain in play for a while still, but sooner rather than later is a good rule of thumb for finding this one.

March 23, 2015 Update: We have decided to lay this series to rest soon and open all the spots this series holds for new geocaches. Since many are still working toward the final, we are giving plenty of advanced notice but this summer (June, maybe July) will be your last chance.

The final location isn't too hard to spot... once you have the coordinates. In order to get the coordinates, you need to find all 10 of the caches in the series. It has a high difficulty ranking because those ten caches are scattered through all four quadrants of the city and outside city limits.

This cache is not at posted coordinates! You need to find all 10 of the caches in the series to get coordinates for the The Muppet Show FINAL! Posted coordinates are the start of a useful trailhead that happens to be on Southern Alberta Trail Maps.

Muppet Show Opening

The Muppet Show is one of my favorite TV shows of all time. The show, created by the legendary Jim Henson, ran five seasons from 1976 to 1981, and lived on in syndication through 2007. A total of 120 shows and two pilots were produced.

The show was set at the Muppet Theater, a classic Cabaret-style theatre owned by Scooter’s uncle. Kermit the Frog and the Muppets would put on a half-hour variety show filled with music and comedy. Things never seemed to quite go according to plan during the show, and for us, that was half the fun!

Muppet Show Large Cast

In order to find this cache, you will need to obtain the coordinates from the different caches all over the city dedicated to characters from the show. If you are not familiar with The Muppet Show, I hope you enjoy touring around and learning about our favorite characters. If you were also a fan of The Muppet Show, we hope you enjoy the journey and that each stop brings back fond memories for you (still remember all the words?)

It's time to play the music
It's time to light the lights
It's time to meet the Muppets on the Muppet Show tonight.

It's time to put on makeup
It's time to dress up right
It's time to raise the curtain on the Muppet Show tonight.

Why do we always come here
I guess we'll never know
It's like a kind of torture
To have to watch the show

And now let's get things started
Why don't you get things started
It's time to get things started
On the most sensational inspirational celebrational Muppetational
This is what we call the Muppet Show!
