O keši(ích) obecně
Již několik let se pravidelně pohybuji po zdejším kraji, do kterého jsem se sice dostal náhodou, ale hned mi úplně učaroval.
Touto postupně vznikající sérií krabiček bych vám chtěl přiblížit přírodu v okolí nevelké vesnice Škůdra. Neplánuji se zde o vesnici či jejím obyvatelstvu nijak rozepisovat, jednak to není mým cílem a jednak stejně neexistuje dostatek vyčerpávajících informací. Zkrátka se spokojme s faktem, že se jedná o mírně obydlené místo, které je v mnoha ohledech hodně podobné ostatním pošumavským vískám, jediné v čem se snad výrazněji liší, je jeho jméno, avšak o tom pojednává jiná keš na kopci nad ním.
A jak tedy budeme zdejší místa objevovat? Jako pomocné body jsem si vybral právě kříže, které se v české krajině vyskytují v obrovském množství. Některé jsou zapomenuty, mnohé stále navštěvovány, ale co je zásadní nehledě na jejich stav - z nějakého důvodu sem byly postaveny. Už i naši předci si všímali zvláštních míst v krajině, které měly jakousi přirozenou autoritu, osobitost či genius loci (každý ať si tomu říká jak chce). Navštívíme-li tato místa, zjistíme, že jsou často sice možná na první pohled obyčejná, ale zastavíme-li se u nich na chvíli, podíváme-li se do krajiny a zapřemýšlíme-li, možná v příhodnou denní dobu či roční období nalezneme v podvědomí něco více než jen prázdné místo, kam někdo bezdůvodně umístil něco pevného, co trochu bojuje proti přírodě. Lidskou stopu, ale takovou, která přírodu neruší ba naopak.
O keši konkrétněji
Pro tento poklad u křížku budete muset vystoupat až nad Škůdru. Projeďte/projděte vesnicí a zahněte směrem nahoru do Strašic (či Krejnic) a za jedinou prudkou zatáčkou (zde se jezdí rallye a asi vám dojde proč, až tudy pojedete/půjdete) uvidíte na kopci křížek u silnice. Ještě než však začnete hledat krabičku (nebo až ji najdete), poodejděte si na některou z blízkých vyvýšenin a zastavte se… představte si staré chalupy zde v kraji, obyvatele čelící těžkému podnebí, ale přesto (či možná proto) věřící v nějakou mocnou sílu nad nimi, držící je při životě... Zde opravdu není nic obtížného se do situace vcítit ;-)
Události spojené se vznikem křížku či informace o něm se mi nepodařilo sehnat, ony možná ani neexistují, ale to nevadí. Každý si může najít důvod jeho vzniku jakýkoliv, ať už je to ochrana motoristů proti zdejšímu obtížnému silničnímu terénu nebo bod, který určuje právě rozkol cest či pouhá příležitost k odpočinku před cestou do kopce.
Pokud máte chuť, můžete zde zanechat květinu či zapálit svíčku.
K odlovu keše
Tak jsme se konečně dobrali k bodu, který nás nakonec zajímá samozřejmě nejvíce. Zaparkovat můžete buď ve vesnici nebo přímo u keše. Krabička leží kousek za křížkem, otevírejte shora stačí odšroubovat víčko a pozor, je křehká!
Keš poté uložte zpět a pořádně vše zavřete. Už nevím, co dál napsat, tak snad jen abyste v logbooku šetřili místem, NEZAPOMNĚLI SI OPSAT BONUSOVÉ ČÍSLO a hodně štěstí při nálezu.
Doufám, že se vám místo bude líbit a rád si přečtu vaše logy i na dalších mých keších, které časem vzniknou.

Generally about cache(s)
I get around this landscape - in which I got accidentally, but it charmed me immediately - already a couple of years.
I would like to bring the nature in a neighbourhood of the village Škůdra near to you by this (in sequence originating) series of caches. I do not plan to write long stories about the village or its population, because it is not my aim and there is not enough information about it too. Simply we just manage with a fact that it is a slightly inhabitated place that is in many views very similar to another villages in Šumava, except its name, but about it is an another cache on the top of the hill above the village.
And what is the system for discovering these places? I used crosses as assistant points that occur in the czech landscape in the large amount. Some of them are forgotten, many of them still visited, but what is important (from aside their condition) – there is a reason, why they have been constructed here. Our grandfathers already noticed special places in a landscape that had their natural authority, individuality or genius loci (everybody should call it like he wants to). If we visit these places we realize that they are in the first moment maybe usual, but if we stop near them for a while, we look at the scenery and think deeper, we find in the good time or the season maybe something more than an empty space in our subconsciousness where somebody placed something firm what slightly fights against the nature. The human footprint but not nature destroying type but vice-versa.
Concretely about the cache
You must go up above Škůdra for this treasure near the cross. Go/walk through the village and turn the upward direction to Strašice (or Krejnice) and after an only sharp curve (there has a rallye place and you get to know why when you will go/walk through) you will see a cross on a hill near a road. But before you start seeking for the container (or after you will find it) go on any near prominence and stop… imagine old cottages in this region, people fighting against the hard climate but still (or maybe what for) believe in some force above them, holding them alive… Here is not difficult to feel this situation ;-)
I did not find informations about the origin of the cross, they maybe do not exist, but it is neccessary. Everybody can find the own reason about its (cross‘ origin) origin, e. g. a protection of drivers against this complicated road terrain or the point that notes the separation of roads or only the opportunity to relax before the uphill journey.
If you want, you should leave here a flower or light here a candle.
About the cache hunt
Finally we got to the point in that you are mostly interested. You can park your car either in the village or near the cache. The container is placed few meters behind the cross, open it upward unscrew only a lid and be carefull about a fragile material of the cache!
Then place the cache back and close everything properly. I do not know what write below, maybe you are asked to save the space in the logbook, DO NOT FORGET TO REMEMBER A BONUS NUMBER and good luck during finding.
