A cache of the Desert Island Discs series
There was once a band called the Housemartins that created such a wonderful sound. They put out two albums, both excellent, before going their separate ways – the most notable spin-off being the Beautiful South. There are a few great “Garage Gospel” songs on it, as they call them. The songs are all so tight and exact in their creation. One of those albums you just can’t stop once you’ve started it.
This one's not quite a mile but in the summer it'll be a hot one - I recommend a morning walk up there. I wanted to go further up Jumpoff canyon but didn't have time. A short jaunt up a steep dirty path leads you to the cache at the end. Pass the cliffs before heading up. Be sure to write down the song name to solve the Desert Island Discs finale!
