This wacky cruise ship will be escaping from the snow and cold of New Jersey to visit the exotic tropical paradise of Polynesia!

Polynesia is a subregion of Oceania, made up of over 1,000 islands scattered over the central and southern Pacific Ocean. Historically, the Polynesians were experienced sailors who used stars and other early forms of geopositioning to navigate across wide expanses of the oceans.

Polynesian food has acquired global popularity due to its unique mix of dishes from cuisines around the world. Polynesian cuisine is considered fusion cuisine because it has been influenced by a number of eastern and western cuisines. Polynesian Food is noted for its interesting variety of seafood and associated dishes. Vegetables and fruits also form an integral part of Polynesian food. The French Polynesian cuisine, in particular, is one of the most acclaimed culinary traditions of the region.

Tiki Culture has recently emerged as an off-shoot of traditional Polynesian cuisine. Tiki-themed establishments embrace a romanticized version of this exotic culture by providing the feel and ambiance of an island paradise, including kitschy decor and tropical drinks made from flavored syrups and fresh fruit juices.
