Where: Sandy beach south of the River Morar 'estuary'.
When: 6pm-9pm on Tuesday June 13th. An evening meet for a school/working day.
What: A casual gathering of cachers - under a low June sun, I hope - to play frisbee, picnic, splash about, chit caching chat, swap travel items, and generally enjoy this very pretty area. Responsible BBQing is an option and I hope to camp on the beach after the event too.
How: It's an easy spot to reach by car (note parking location, where there are toilets) or by train - there's a stop at Morar.
Who: Cachers! New to the game or cache meets? You'll be made especially welcome.
Why: It's a long story. In part I want to come here to attempt to locate a cache which escaped detection in 2015, but this will happen before or after the meet - I hope! I also thought it was a lovely spot for a meet, with room for frisbee and a BBQ (if you'd like to bring one), lots of warm golden sand and a pretty outlook. Then there's that short river claim to fame (it's under 1Km long) and the fact I thought it looked a great spot for a wild camp when I was here in 2015.
