Geocache Description:

coordinates on the relic / final location: mason jar with log and pen

This is a relatively short multi-cache. I didn't want people snooping around by the actual relic late at night, so you simply need to read the new coordinates at GZ and then go to the final location less than a half mile away by some more oilfield relics.

Update:I was just about to archive this when I realized I can make it an even simpler multi. Simply go to the now published final coordinates. Yes the original relic is gone, but you can see where it was in the pictures and still go out to the final container that is still sitting there. Cache away.

This series is dedicated to the monuments of oilfield past that are scattered across Kern County. These old relics were obviously no longer useful for anything except to adorn the front entrances of modern oil facilities or private residences. However, I am giving them new life by being a place to hide new Geocaches on or nearby.
