Oilfield Relic #23 - Oil Field Traditional Cache

Oil Field is a unique replica of Boston's Fenway Park and located at Wrecker Field, alongside the Rec Center in Taft, CA. Oil Field was officially opened for wiffle ball games on Thursday April 17, 2014 in an exciting opening ceremony.

As you search for the Geocache, be sure to tour the area and read the biographies of baseball legends and enjoy this historical replica for all of its dedication to legends past.

This series is dedicated to the monuments of oilfield past that are scattered across Kern County. These old relics were obviously no longer useful for anything except to adorn the front entrances of modern oil facilities or private residences. However, I am giving them new life by being a place to hide new Geocaches on or nearby.
