Comet appears as the coach of The Reindeer Games where he teaches all the yearling bucks and points out one as Dasher's son to leap first which he does. Comet then calls for Rudolph to come over for his turn at leaping. After being told by Clarice that she thinks he is cute, Rudolph leaps high into the air with joy which impresses Comet. However when Rudolph's fake nose falls off revealing his real red one, he is laughed at and ridiculed by the other bucks. Comet breaks this up and bans Rudolph from the rest of the games. For unknown reasons, Comet doesn't join the sleigh team with Rudolph leading, perhaps meaning that he has decided to retire and just stick to coaching for The Reindeer Games or decided to take a break that year.
The winter series theme this year involves characters from the classic Rankin/Bass Stop-Motion animation TV Specials that first aired in the 60's, 70's, and early 80's.

Multi - you should be able to find a spot to park near posted coords. Proceed to the marked trailhead and the posted waypoint.
Start your hike at the trailhead.
Stage two is a virtual stage. If the trail continues West (at the giant tree) then you have the West Coord info you need. If the trail curves to the North then you have the North coord you need. Proceed 25 additional points whichever way the trail continues (example if you are at 700 you would proceed to 725). At this stage 3 you are seeking a container with the missing final coord. Based on the name of the cache I would suggest looking for the comet/ flying object. Now you are armed with the final info and are at a good spot with an access trail to the final. If in doubt follow the trail looping back until you cross the given coord you have. The final is in a giant tree in a likely spot.
I suggest your return route follow the same trail unless you want to test your boots. Enjoy the hunt!
