Geocache Description:

Sun Willows Golf Course is a Robert Muir Graves designed public 18-Hole, par-72 course. It opened in 1960 and was redesigned in 1980. The club features a pro-shop, driving range, professional staff and restaurant. Rarely do you find a course of this maturity which combines all the great characteristics of golf. From the back tees, the course plays 6,715 yards and the forward tees 5,695 yards. There are 32 bunkers and five lakes that all come into play and challenge your shot selection.

The Pasco Naval Air Station was established in 1942 as a training center for naval aviators. In the later stages of World War II this base was used to rebuild carrier-based squadrons of planes that had been shot up in action against the Japanese in the Pacific. After the War the city of Pasco purchased the Navy Base from the government for a consideration of only $1.00. Today many commercial and industrial tenants are using the facilities there. The landing field, along with the air terminal is now known as the Tri-Cities Airport, operated by the Port of Pasco. Regular scheduled airline service is provided in this airport. Pasco's aviation history goes back to 1926 when Varney Air Lines commenced regular airmail service between Pasco, Washington and Elko, Nevada. Varney was taken over by United Airlines, and in 1934 United moved their operations out of Pasco to Pendleton, Oregon. Pasco was without regular air service until Empire Air Lines Started regular air service out of Pasco in 1949, being later taken over by Hughes Air West.

This is one of 30 caches placed as part of the 2014 Tri-Cities Geocoin Challenge.
There are 10 new geocaches placed in each of the three cities.
To earn all 3 pieces of the puzzle geocoin, you must find at least 8 geocaches in each city plus one of the 3 Multi-caches (for a total of 25 caches).
Each geocache has a code word written inside the container.
Record the code words on your entry form.
You will need at least 8 code words per city plus the code word from the multi-cache you chose for a total of 25 code words.
Upon successful completion of the challenge, one coin per city will be awarded per household (which will give you one complete set).
