Geocache Description:

Good place to trade swag and stuff BYOP. Don't miss the turn and don't drive on the paved trail. Parking for the tall ships is toward river on the gravel.

Residents of the three cities and two counties have been walking/biking the shores of the river for many years, but the formal trail was developed in recognition of the area's ties to the Lewis and Clark Expedition and in honor of Sacajawea, the Native American woman from the Lemhi/Shoshone tribes who acted as guide to the expedition.
