Log My Dog

On 02/19/2012 my family and I adopted Rue, a one and half-year-old female mixed black lab, from a rescue shelter.  Five days later on 02/25/2012, I went back to sign the official paperwork and we stopped for her very first cache.

I don't get her out to cache very often, sometimes it's just not in the cards to have a geodog along, but when I do we usually have a good adventure including some FTFs.

Rue doesn't have a geocaching login but she is trackable! This Log My Dog trackable was a Christmas gift from my wife in December 2013, so I made it retroactive to all the caches I'd taken her to up until that point. This is more about Rue's geodog adventures vs. the trackable itself.

Rue declined a bit since her last cache a few years ago. She couldn't really make the trips and my job changed as well which didn't help my caching. Then COVID happened. Then Cushing's happened with Rue.

Sadly we had to put Rue down on 09/11/2023, Just one day after her 13th birthday.
