A geocaching meet at the Dashwood Mausoleum, overlooking the lights of High Wycombe, for a 'taste of Stowe.' Free parking is close by on top of the hill, behind the church which is behind the mausoleum.
Where: At the lit-up hexagonal building at the given co-ords. (Not pictured. That's our 2020 Mega venue. Nice, eh?)
When: Tuesday, the 31st of December from 4.30pm 'til 5pm, or 31.12.19 16:30-17:00 if you prefer. Hellfire Caves below GZ open 11am-4.30pm. Last admission 4pm.
Why: Bringing fresh news of next summer's Geolympix Mega* event to the good cachers of South Buckinghamshire and beyond. Also, a chance to get the caching souvenir for finding or attending one on the last day of the year.
What: A classic quick outdoor cache meet inspired by the early cache Hellfire's Globe (Bucks) by Dan and Pid from June 2002 which is close by. A chance to swap Travel Items and tall tales of caching, plus compulsory hearing about the Geolympix, which is returning in 2020 to a stunning country house not so very far away... Think Downton Abbey with Geocaching!
Who: Cachers from far and wide, with a special warm welcome to those new to caching or cache events. Please dress for the weather as this can be a chilly spot.
