Welcome to the Gas Works Park CITO hosted by Geocaching HQ. This event is part of the Cache In Trash Out® 2018 Week, so if you attend, you'll receive the 2018 CITO souvenir!
Gas Works Park is a 20-acre public park located on the north shore of Lake Union at the south end of the Wallingford neighborhood. It is recognized in the National Register of Historic Places. Aside from the machines and structures of the former gasification plant, the location offers a stunning panorama of the Seattle skyline.
Date, time, and place:
Thursday, September 20 from 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM. We’ll meet at the Play Barn Entrance (posted coordinates) and hit different areas of the park from there. When you RSVP please not how many people will be in your group so we have the proper amount of equipment on hand.
Equipment:
We will bring all the supplies such as garbage bags, gloves, litter grabbers, and safety vests.
What to wear and bring:
Long pants, boots, and water are a must. Dress to get dirty! Rain gear and layers depending on the weather. This CITO shall occur, rain or shine. This is Seattle after all!
Waiver:
You’ll be asked to sign a typical volunteer service agreement/waiver. Kids under 14 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
BYOR:
Bring your own refreshment in case you get thirsty or hungry, please.
