The picnic activities will begin after an all you can eat breakfast event.
So bring your yourself, your family, your friends, or your casual acquaintances along with lawn chairs and some family friendly beverages to help us celebrate 15 years of geocaching. Our last couple of years have been pretty hot, so this picnic will start with a fun scavenger hunt you can play in your vehicles. Or if you'd rather do your own thing (cache or hang around and visit with your caching buddies at the shelter), we're calling all cachers back to the picnic shelter with or without their scavenger finds by 2:00pm.
ACTIVITY SCHEDULE:

- 3:00pm - Balloon Toss

- 2:30pm Pinata
- 4:30pm to 4:45pm - Group Photo
- 5:00pm to 6:00pm - Picnic Meal
- 6:00pm - Winner Announcements
Extra Activities throughout the day will include an a-MAZE-ing Wherigo Cache, a trackable table (show off your stuff), raffles, our always amazing kids' caches, pinata for the youngsters and geobingo!

Our picnic meal of “Burgers N’ More” will be catered.
You will be offered the choice of two meats per person which include: a Pub Burger, a Hot Dog or a Johnsonville Brat. There will be unlimited sides of potato salad, baked beans, chips, ketchup, mustard, pickle relish, cheese sauce and grilled onions. Then, if you're still hungry, grab a cookie for dessert.
The cost per person is $9.00 in advance, to be paid by noon on Thursday, August 27th. (See online registration/order form) Anytime after that, up through day of picnic the cost will be $10.00. (Little ones may share a meal. We will have extra plates.)

Registration:
Please pre-register using the picnic
registration/order form. Registration/Check In will be ongoing during the breakfast and throughout the day. Pick up your packet which will include your name tags, meal tickets, a free raffle ticket for each attendee and other items you may have purchased.
To keep this event free for everyone, we will have several raffles to help offset the cost of the picnic. You will have an opportunity to win GPS handheld units, and automobile units. Also a "one-of-a-kind" geocaching T-Shirt quilt and a king sized puzzle themed quilt have been donated for the raffle. Other items may also become raffle prizes as they are donated.
All raffle tickets can be purchased for $1.00 per ticket, 6 for $5.00 or 20 for $15.00. These may be purchased from the picnic
registration/order form.
Any pre-orders for the picnic meal and additional raffle tickets can be purchased through the online
registration/order form. You can also wear a 15th Annual Kansas City Area Picnic T-Shirt with pride on picnic day by purchasing it and other picnic related items.
T-Shirts must be pre ordered by August 9th. Any proceeds from the sale of T-Shirts will be used to help offset any expenses incurred in hosting the picnic.
Donations:
Once again we're asking for help in keeping our picnic free for all. Members of our caching community…this year we challenge you…We challenge you and your creative minds to come up with caching containers we can use in the raffle and silent auction. We're asking for containers that will stand the test of time in the elements. Containers that can be won by other members of this community so they can place them for all of us to find "in the wild". It doesn't matter how large or how small the containers are. Show us your talents.
We welcome any other caching related items (coins, trackables, baskets, etc) that you'd like to donate. These will either be raffled off or placed in the silent auction. Contact a committee member if you'd like to donate anything in advance. Thank you all for your support.
