Geocache Description:

The cache is located at the posted coordinates, but you must first complete the challenge in order to log a find. You are welcome to find the cache prior to completing the challenge, but do not log a find until completing the challenge (a note is fine).

This challenge cache was inspired by the New Hampshire cache 15 Ghosts.

The challenge: Find and log any 16 letterbox hybrid geocaches in one calendar day, between midnight and midnight. Previous finds count, as long as you have met the calendar day requirement. Once you find and log the requisite number of letterboxes, either list the CG codes in your found log for this cache or create a public bookmark list of the 16 letterboxes. Please make note of the day you found the letterboxes.

"But macdonr," you say. "Why 16 letterboxes?" Because it's more than 15 ghosts.

"But macdonr," you say. "This cannot be accomplished around Lakeland!" Why, yes it can. Click the letterbox icons below to see which caches I found during my own 16 letterbox day, June 23, 2013. As the number of local letterboxes increases, the cache will be become somewhat easier, and the difficulty rating may be adjusted to reflect that new reality. For me it took 12 hours and 5 minutes, I covered 210.7 driving miles, and did *lots* of hiking. Yes, it was a challenge.

"But macdonr," you say. "I have a ton of finds, and have been faithfully logging letterboxes as they are listed!" That may pose a bit more of a challenge, but if you are an especially active cacher, my guess is that you do not mind traveling to cache, and this may also be accomplished in greater Tampa (including west Polk County) and on Florida's east coast. Team up with a buddy, and make a day of it. A day.

The cache itself is large enough to hold small TBs and contains a log and writing implement. Did I mention there is a cool FTF prize for the verified first finder? It is not in the cache, but I will get it to you.
