This cache is a camo'd air tight capsule. Please be careful removing and replacing the cap, it is not recommended that girls with long fingernails try to take the lid off. I recommend pulling upward in a counter clockwise motion. Big enough to fit plenty of bugs, medium sized items and some large items. It is stashed in a nice spot.
"The Slab" is a popular gathering point on the Llano River just upstream from Kingsland. There is plenty of sand for sunbathing, picnics, games, etc. The water is shallow and perfect for wading. It is a great place to bring the children. (visit link)
There is no admission fee and the amount of public land is more than large enough if you want some privacy. This cache is in a great spot if you want to have an outdoor picnic or relax with your feet in the water. The best time to come out is during the week while school is in session, its typically a ghost town at this time.
