Many people call this place Cat Rock but I have always known it as Eagle Rock. I placed a new cache up on the top of this granite outcropping in the middle of the Llano River.
You can get there from FM 3404 at a low water crossing called the slab. You must hike about 1.5 miles to get to Eagle Rock or you can go to Long's Fishing camp and pay $5.00 day use and walk about a half mile down river to Eagle Rock. YOU WILL GET WET EITHER WAY.
Bring your camera and if you plan to be out after dark bring a flashlight. Long's camp does have camping and cabins.
This cache is in a plastic camo container and is filled with goodies including a trackable item. Be carefull...watch out for catus and snakes. There could be a critter sleeping with this cache!
