L’orage du 25 Mai 1890 fut d’une violence inouïe, la grêle tombant pendant deux heures et c’est ensuite une pluie torrentielle qui ne cesse qu’à 11 heures du soir. Les récoltes sont anéanties, le moulin de Rebiriere est emporté, les étables au moulin Gouet sont renversées et les animaux périssent dans les eaux. Dans le bourg de Nizerolles c’est un torrent qui pénètre dans les habitations.
Aujourd’hui ce sont des nouveaux bâtiments qui remplacent le moulin.
