Welcome to the Misawa Geocachers Organization's 9-9-9
event!
As part of the worldwide 9-9-9 Multi-Event, MiGO (Japan) is hosting
a campout on Mt. Hashikami on September 9, 2009 (09-09-09). Come
join us for an afternoon and evening of hiking, cache-finding,
cache-hiding, and general geocaching togetherness!
The event is taking place at the Auto campground at the top of Mt.
Hashikami, which is about an hour's travel by car from Misawa to
the south of Hachinohe. For those unfamiliar with auto campgrounds,
they are campgrounds whose tent spots are set up along a road, with
"stub" driveways for your car. You just pull up, pitch your tent,
and you are good to go! The cost for the campgrounds is Y1000 for
the night if you have a car spot, and only Y500 if you only need a
spot for a tent.
Come to the
Misawa Geocachers Organization Forums or shoot a message to the
MiGO account, above, to get help reserving a spot or to hitch a
ride with someone who's driving to make use of a tent-only spot. If
you're very familiar with the area, please feel free to make your
own camping arrangements and come to the listed coordinates to hang
out at the event. If you're only interested in attending during the
day and plan to go home as night falls, that's great too.
MiGO (Japan) members will be on hand all day, so come early to get
your tent set up and to experience the glorious views and great
hiking trails of Mt. Hashikami before group events begin at
approximately 1600 (4pm).
