SwtM - Potawatomi Falls Traditional Geocache

It can be tricky to drive to the parking area for this cache. Turn by the boat launch sign, then turn to the right when the road dead ends. Follow the road around, past the lake and then to the boat launch. The trail is rather overgrown with some downed trees; hence the terrain rating. We highly recommend mosquito spray for this one. We are so sorry that people are being bothered by nettles while looking for this one. There wasn't much in the way of vegetation in April when we scouted locations and when we placed the container in May we didn't see any. We did, however, at that point see some poison ivy.

Potawatomi Falls is a very scenic waterfall along an especially scenic part of the Black River.

An added plus is the close proximity of the equally impressive Gorge Falls. These are two of the most impressive falls on the Black River and are also the two easiest to access.
