This cache is a part of the ARCHITECT SINAN TRILOGY. When you have found 3 different caches, hidden by the works of the great architect Sinan (Mosque by TOPHANE, RÜSTEMPAŞA Mosque, ŞEHZADE Mosque), you will get the codes to find a "BONUS" cache.
Kanuni Sultan Süleyman tarafından Saruhan valisi iken 1543'te 22 yaşında ölen oğlu Şehzade Mehmet adına yaptırılmıştır. Camiyi 1543-1548 yılları arasında Mimar Sinan'a yaptırttı. Mimar Sinan'ın çıraklık eserimdir dediği camidir. 18,42 metrelik kubbesi 4 büyük yarım kubbeye yaslanır. Şadırvan avlusu 12 sütunda 16 kubbelidir. İkişer şerefeli çift minaresi vardır. İmaret ve medrese, tabhane, türbeler cami bahçesinde ve arka sokaktadır. Şehzade türbesinin içi rengârenk çinilerle doludur. Ortadaki sandukada Şehzade Mehmet, sağında Şehzade Cihangir yatar, solunda Hümaşah Sultan. Şehzade türbesinin sol tarafında Rüstem Paşa'nın türbesi bulunur.
The Sehzade Complex was commissioned by Ottoman Sultan Süleyman, also known as Süleyman the Magnificent and Kanuni, the Lawgiver, (reg. 1520-1566) to commemorate his favorite son Sehzade Mehmed (1520-1543) upon his early passing in 1543. The mosque complex was Sinan's first imperial commission and ultimately one of his most ambitious architectural works, even though it was designed early in his long career. The interior of the Şehzade Mosque has a symmetrical plan, with the area under the central dome expanded by use of four semidomes, one on each side, in the shape of a four leaf clover. The imperial mausoleums (türbe) are noted for their lavish use of İznik tiles. The first and largest is the türbe of Şehzade Mehmet, an octagonal structure. The interior is covered in extremely rare apple-green and lemon-yellow İznik tiles from floor to top of the interior dome and the windows have stained glass. Within the türbe are also the tombs of Mehmet's daughter Humusah Sultan and his brother Cihangir.
