This MTR Station opened August 1, 2005. Prior to this date there were Disney busses that connected the Disneyland Resort with the nearest MTR Station, Sunny Bay. WM8KEE Hong Kong Disneyland has its own dedicated MTR line and MTR station. This station is located on the Disneyland Resort line which connects the transfer station to Sunny Bay. The MTR from this station to Sunny Bay takes 3.5 minutes and trains run at four or ten minute intervals depending on the park operating hours. The fee varies depending on where you are going to or coming from.
What stands out about this station and makes it my favorite underground/subway/MTR station in the world is its incredible theming and design. This station and the Disneyland Resort line were designed by Disney. There are special Disney themed trains that run on this line with unique Disney styling and decorations. This MTR station is designed with a victorian theme full of Mickey Mouse decorations.
