Travel around the world, especially through the mountains. As far as the means of travelling are concerned, the TB likes walking, cycling etc. and dislikes drive-ins. Special Initial Mission: get to Stratford upon Avon in England and visit the Holy Trinity Church. (then move on to the mountains again).

This travelbug is a re-incarnation of my very first TB (Shakespeare's Words), which got lost very soon after it had started its journey. (I've kept the old description - you can see it in a 'Note' log dated April 24th 2006)
THIS NEW TB doesn't have much in common with the previous one, except for its first destination - Stratford upon Avon. It would be nice if this TB could get there, as a reconciliation of the original TB's ghost :] During its journey, and especially after it achieves its first goal, the Mountaineer's Protector would like to visit as many mountains, hills, highlands... as possible. I've found this pendant in one of my first caches - Rabenstejn GCPX34 - on a very special place and under special circumstances. I took a solo night walk and found this mountain castle ruin just before midnight. It was a peculiar, windy night, the forest was very dark... I wasn't afraid, but... wary... alone at night in a difficult terrain and special, almost mystical place. This pendant, put in about two weeks ago by Vertigo Team, naturally appealed me. It's probably a few decades old. The figure on it probably portrays Krakonos (Krakonoš), also known as Rybrcoul, a powerful mountain spirit, the master of Krkonose Mountains (the highest mountains in Czech Republic). The inscription reads: 'In my mountains, I am your protector'. Many mountain areas, certainly not only in the Czech republic, have its spirits. They may not have names (the name Krakonos itself is quite young, as the highlanders in the past never referred to the spirit by any name, out of recpect, or even fear) and they may not be downright kind-hearted - but any mountaineer surely can hope that they are just and good by nature, and that a righteous person can hope for their protection or help... Therefore, I assume that I can dare to pronounce this pendant a universal amulet usable by any good mountaineer in any mountains of the world ��. At least I hope that it will bring You Good Luck!

[CZ] Tento travelbug je 'reinkarnaci' meho prvniho TB nazvaneho Shakespeare's Words, ktery se bohuzel velmi brzy po zacatku sve cesty ztratil. Jeho stary popis jsem pro zajimavost zachoval, najdete ho v poznamce z 24. dubna 2006. Tento novy cestovatel nema s tim puvodnim prakticky nic spolecneho, snad krome prvniho cile - Stratfordu nad Avonou. Docestuje-li tam, kam miril puvodni TB, snad usmiri jeho ducha (nebo alespon me :] ). Behem sve cesty, a zvlaste pote, co dosahne zmineneho cile, by tento cestovatel rad navstivil co nejvice pohori, hor, kopcu i kopecku... zucastni-li se primo nejake horske vypravy, bude to moc pekne. Tento privesek jsem nalezl v jedne ze svych prvnich caches, na Rabenstejne (pro blizsi informace pouzijte link uvedeny v anglickem textu), za trosku zvlastnich okolnosti. Na tuto zriceninu v podhuri Jeseniku jsem vyrazil sam, v noci (zni to nerozumne, ale mel jsem sve duvody...) a cache jsem nalezl tesne pred pulnoci. Byla to velmi zvlastni noc, az trosku desiva... mozna ten pocit znate, neni to strach, ale vsechny smysly jsou zbystrene... Sedel jsem v te vetrne noci sam na malem prostoru byvale veze na uzke skale, obklopen hlubokym temnym lesem a dalsimi skalami, a z obsahu cache me celkem prirozene nejvice oslovil prave tento privesek. Do cache ho vlozil zhruba dva tydny predtim Vertigo Team. Postavu Krakonose jiste neni treba predstavovat. Podobnou postavu, tajemneho ducha a vladce hor, ci spise legendy o ni, ale muzeme najit v mnoha horskych oblastech po celem svete. Tyto bytosti nebyvaji vyslovene hodne, ale muzeme verit, ze jsou spravedlive a v jadru dobre, a ze poctivy clovek muze doufat v jejich ochranu ci pomoc v nouzi. Proto si troufam prohlasit tento privesek za universalni amulet, pouzitelny dobrym horalem ve vsech horach sveta ��. Doufam, ze i vam prinese alespon maly kousek, ale radeji Hodne Stesti!
