Die Wikinger waren ein reiselustiges Volk, von Haithabu aus betrieben sie einen regen Handel mit Skandinavien und ganz Europa und man sagt ihnen nach, als Erste nach Amerika gereist zu sein. Damit sind sie uns Geocachern seelenverwandt, denn auch Geocacher reisen in aller Herren Länder, um dort ihrem Hobby nachzugehen, tolle Orte zu entdecken und atemberaubende Erfahrungen zu machen.
The Vikings were a travel enthusiast, from Haithabu they traded with Scandinavia and all of Europe and they are said to have been the first to travel to America. They are soul mates to us geocachers, because geocachers also travel all over the world, to pursue their hobby, to discover great places and to have breathtaking experiences.
