My mom was somewhat laissez faire when it came to sprituality. Growing up she often mentioned various lines like, "Do as thou will, lest ye harm none." For her, what was important is how we treat each other while alive, the afterlife was a much more personal belief. She studied The Bible and other spiritual texts; a theologian.
Origins of "hido," K.D., and the road trip
"Hido" was a greeting my mother, Kathy Bruce started saying in the mid-nineties. It was a consolidation of, "Hi, how are you doing?" into one word. Like Namaste for Enlgish speakers.
Mom's middle initial was "D". Katie was the name of her grandmother (her mom's mom). First initial plus middile initial, phonetically results in the same sound.
The Hido K.D. Road Trip is a tribute to my mother who passed away March 1st, 2019. She loved road trips and traveling. These trackables let her keep doing so for however long they last..
