We beginnen onze virtuele reis in De Lier. Waarom daar? Omdat ik me daar bekend gemaakt heb als reviewer op het 1e Lierse Event. Zet het gele poppetje op de kruising Veilingweg - Sportlaan. Ga in noordoostelijke richting de hele Veilingweg af tot deze van naam verandert. Ga verder in noordwestelijke richting tot je aan je linkerhand een gebouw met vijf opvallende ramen tegenkomt. Welke bedrijfsnaam staat er op de gevel? Noteer de laatste letter van het eerste woord voor de waarde A

Het volgende waypoint brengt je naar Luxemburg, tegen de Franse grens aan. In dit plaatsje vond in 2015 een mega event plaats waarbij de temperaturen tot 40 graden opliepen. Van geocachen is niet veel terecht gekomen. Plaats je poppetje op de Route de Thionville. Ga naar het noorden tot je de bebouwde kom van Dudelange binnen komt. Sla linksaf. Als je bij de spoorwegovergang komt ga je rechtsaf. Je gaat het spoor dus NIET over! Bij het volgende kruispunt zie je een geel bord. Volg de pijl die de richting aangeeft. Deze weg eindigt in een T splitsing. Zoek de naam van de straat die rechtsaf gaat. Neem de voorlaatste letter voor de waarde B

Natuurlijk mag het ARK Stammtisch gebeuren niet ontbreken in deze speurtocht. Dit event is inmiddels al lang zijn 25e editie gepasseerd. We starten op het beginpunt. Je ziet hier de achtertuin van de CO. Ga in zuidoostelijke richting en ga links de straat in. Aan het eind van de straat ga je rechtsaf en vlak daarna neem je op de rotonde de eerste afslag. Volg deze weg tot je een stoplicht tegenkomt. Ga hier linksaf. Volg deze weg tot deze een bocht naar rechts maakt. Hier vind je een spandoek. Pak de tweede letter, deze is C.

De volgende opdracht brengt je naar Denver, Colorado, USA. Hier waren tijdens een mega event in 2016. Alhoewel mega? Met slechts 120 attended logs was het een bescheiden mega. Dit waypoint laat je een stukje van de stad zien. Zet je poppetje op de kruising 14th en Welton. Ga in noordwestelijke richting tot je links een groot blauw dier ziet. Sla op het volgende kruispunt de straat in waar je een afbeelding van een filmster ziet. Volg deze straat twee blokken en sla dan linksaf. Je komt dan uit bij een soort kerktoren. Iets daar voorbij vind je een restaurant met zwartwit gestreepte zonwering. Hierboven vind je een naam. Neem de eerste letter van de naam voor D. Hint: Niet het café.

Vriend van de show Hopmaniak mag natuurlijk niet ontbreken. Zijn Trappistenevents zijn beroemd en berucht. We laten Wilco lekker van zijn Quadrupel genieten en gaan noordwaarts en volgen de weg. Na een viaduct kom je bij een rotonde uit. Neem de tweede afslag en ga naar het centrum van dit skôn Brabants plekske. Volg de weg tot je links een woord van 5 gele letters op de gevel ziet. Ga de eerstvolgende weg rechts. Volg deze via een kleine chicane tot je bij een kruising komt. Ga hier linksaf. Bij de volgende kruising ga je weer linksaf tot je bij een braakliggend terrein komt met hekken. Neem de eerste letter van het rode bordje op de affiches. Dit is E.

De laatste opdracht brengt je naar het hoge noorden, in Steinker, Noorwegen, om precies te zijn. We hebben hier de pinksterdagen van 2017 doorgebracht in goed gezelschap. Vanaf het startpunt zie je een wit kerkje. Volg de weg die kant op. Blijf de weg volgen tot je op een kruispunt met stoplicht komt in het stadje. Sla rechtsaf. Bij de rotonde neem je de derde afslag. Blijf de weg volgen tot de volgende rotonde. Neem de derde afslag. Als het goed is zie je links water. Neem de tweede straat linksaf. Als je deze straat in gaat zie je een toren. Neem de eerste letter van de kleur van de toren. Dit is F.

The next waypoint will bring you to Luxemburg, close to the French border. In 2015 there was a mega event in this town under tropical circimstances, temperatures rising to 40 degrees centigrade / 106 degrees Fahrenheit. Small wonder why we didn't do a lot of geocaching. Put your token on the Route de Thionville. Go North driving into Dudelange. Once you hit a railroad take a right turn. Do NOT cross the railroad (yet). At the next intersection you'll find a yellow sign. Follow the arrow. This road ends in a fork (T junction). Find the name of the street going to the right. Take the one but last letter of that name for B.

Of course we pay a visit to the ARK Stammtisch event during our trip. It is way past its 25th edition. We start at the coordinate, looking at the backyard of the CO. Go Southeast and turn left. At the end of the street you turn right, entering the main road. On the roundabout, take the first exit. Keep following this road until you hit a traffic light. Turn left. (wait until the opposing direction is clear) This road will bend to the right at some point. Here you'll find a banner. Take the second letter, this is C.

Your next assignment takes you to Denver, Colorado, USA. Here we visited a mega event in 2016. Although mega? With just 120 attended logs it was quite modest. I'll show you some of downtown. Put your token on 14th & Welton. Go Northwest until you see a large blue animal. Turn into the street where you see a moviestar on a wall. Keep going for two blocks and take a left turn. You'll hit some kind of church tower. Just a bit further you'll see black and white striped marquees. Above these you can read a name. Take the first letter of that name for D. Hint: Not the café.

Friend of the show Hopmaniak can not be left unnamed. His Trappist events are notorious and famous at the same time. We leave Wilco to his Quadrupel and go North. Crossing a bridge brings you to a roundabout. Take the second exit and go to the centre of this skôn Brabants plekske. Follow the road until you find on your left a word consisting of five yellow letters. Take the next right. Go through the chicane until you hit a intersection. Turn left. At the next intersection you turn left again until you see a fenced lot. On the signs you'll find a small red plaque. Take the first letter, this is E.

Your last assignment brings you in the far North, in Steinker, Norway, to be precisely. We've visited during the Whit weekend in 2017 this place accompanied by dear friends. At the coordinates you'll find a small white church. Follow that road and keep following it. When you hit a traffic light at an intersection downtown you turn right. At the roundabout (big one) you take the third exit. Keep going until the next roundabout. Take again the third exit. You should see water on your left hand. Take a left on the second street. At the end you'll see a tower. Take the first letter of the color of the tower. This is F.
