Current Goal

This trackable tag, "Odd", is attached to a bison with the first of three fragments of The Legend of Odd Mushroom.

Please keep this TB in geocaches in the continental USA, but no closer than a minimum distance of 25 miles from the posted coordinates for GC7A00T. (Trackable TB6BTMC is already serving this purpose within the 25 mile radius.)

If you move this trackable from the cache, please note the following requests:

1) The trackable must be logged out and logged in to caches accurately using the geocaching.com website or the geocaching mobile app.

2) Please do not keep the trackable out of a cache for more than 1 week. Try to keep it moving.

3) This trackable should stay OUTSIDE a 25 mile radius of the posted coordinates for GC7A00T (there are already three puzzle TBs traveling within the radius); please keep within the continental USA.

4) Please try to select a cache of the ‘small’ ,’regular’ or ‘large’ size category (large enough to accommodate this TB comfortably).

5) Please avoid placing trackable into caches with a higher-than-average muggle risk factor (such as cache and dash type caches) - As a suggestion, Mystery and Multi caches work well, as do Traditional caches that are premium-only or have a parking location 0.1 miles or more from the posted coordinates (although these are merely suggestions and not themselves requirements for selecting a cache for dropping the TB)

6) If the Difficulty and/or Terrain rating of the host cache is above 2.5, that might be a good place to drop it, as the muggle factor might be lower on more challenging caches.

If you are interested in visiting Blair County, PA, and doing some geocaching in the area, including finding The Legend of OddMushroom (GC7A00T), then continue reading. The puzzle information you need is contined within the TB container. Feel free to move the TB within the guidelines listed above, even if the puzzle and central PA geocache is of no interest.

About This Item

Please see GC7A00T for the full story of The Legend of Odd Mushroom.

This trackable tag is attached to a large red and silver bison-style container. Inside the container is the 1 of 3 fragment for The Legend of Odd Mushroom. Be sure to note all of the information that might be important to help solve for the final coordinates for GC7A00T. Be sure to return the puzzle fragment back into the bison before returning the trackable to the cache or before dropping it into a new cache. Taking photos of both sides of all contained puzzle pieces might be a good way to keep track of this part of the puzzle, so that all information, hints, code words, etc, are stored in a place that they can be retrieved as needed. Please keep this puzzle information private, and do not post any of it to the TB page, cache page, or on any social media sites.

An out-of-area FTF prize will be awarded. Be sure to check out www.hippocache.org/legend-woodstock for the full information.

If there is any problem with this trackable (such as missing information or an unlocatable trackable), please send a geo-message to mrGreen317 or use the geocaching.com website to send an email to mrGreen317.

It would seem from some logs that this is somewhere, just not where it was last reported.

That placement is perfect!

There is another similar TB, TB6BTMC, staying within the 25 mile circle with the exact same information. The three "local" TBs for this puzzle are for our area cachers. These three that got sent out via Woodstock beyond the 25-mile circle were kind of a "haha joke" to start off with, but if anyone from outside the 25-mile radius wants to solve the mystery, having seen at least one of the "outside" trackables, there is a prize waiting for that specific First-To-Find-From-Out-of-the-Area... Still unclaimed. So just keep moving this guy along.

Please see http://www.hippocache.org/legend-woodstock/ for more information.

Thanks for your recent placement of this TB into its current cache...
