About This Item

Lotscher Crest Token - front

The front features the Family Crest (Coat of Arms) of the Lotscher family name believed to be the orign of my last name "Latchaw".  With halp from many sources - includning Rian Huiberts, a geneology specialist in Holland - I have been able to trace our family tree back to the village of Latterbach im Simmental, Bern Canton, Switzerland.  I am hoping to retrieve a land purchase document bearing this name dating from 1308 from the Bern Archives at some  point in the future.

The reverse features a picture of a nearby church in Erlenbach im Simmental.

While this is a somewhat generic discovery log, I do take time sometimes to go back over previous trackables I've crossed paths with to see the adventures they have been on. It can really add to the experience of caching and am honestly grateful that people share things such as this. I hope this one gets to travel far and go on some grand adventures!
