Bring us pups back home to my Grandmother in St. Catharines Ontario.
My grandmother passed away this year in the town she was born and raised in; St. Catharines, Ontario. My mother and I were both born and raised there too, however we both currently live in Esquimalt, British Columbia. This past spring, sensing that my grandmother's health would falter for good this year, we made a pilgrimage home to visit. Due to the expence of travel, we were unable to attend the funeral. Fortunately the rest of our family still lives in the area so she was never alone but this left us with a longing. The two wolves on the coin represent my mother and I while the coin represents the pilgrimage itself. I will forever miss tea and Coronation Street gossiping with her... and catching her falling asleep to a harlequin romance novel.
