About This Item

This is one of 10 Travel Bugs that is being released with the publication of Qi's to the Cache. I expect to publish additional Qi's to the Cache geocaches in the near future. One of these keys is required to open and log the cache. Since Travel Bugs ideally travel far away, there are three options to claim the cache.

  1. Find a key, go to the cache and open it.
  2. Hand-to-Hand: If you live more than 200 miles from Davis you may pass the key to somebody heading here and claim the find when that person logs the cache. I'll make it even easier. If the person you hand it to hands it to a third geocacher who logs the find, you too can claim the find. I'm afraid that after one more handoff that you're out of luck.
  3. Cache at a Distance: If you live more than 1000 miles from Davis you are welcome to post a note on the cache page saying you have a key and are willing to mail it to a local geocacher. Similarly, local geocachers, or geocachers heading to this area may contact a key holder who is located more than 1000 miles from Davis and offer to log the cache if the holder sends them the key. I’ll leave the details to the parties involved. Of course both the sender and signer may log a find.

Please keep the keys moving and get them back to Davis to claim finds!

This key will currently open:
Qi's to the Cache (GC85625) Davis, California
Qi's to the Cache #2 (GC89KDX) Turlock, California
Qi's to the Cache: Pirate's Plunder (GC8ACM0) Carmichael, California

Nice to discover this on a visit to the Cache Box. No need to bring to the East Coast, however. :)

Cool to solve a cache
Cool to find the key
But since ours is a LOCAL dash
We'll just leave you be.

Not much time for local caching -- but did spot this TB in the magnificent GC59GTT The Case of Base Dentura and the Cache Box

Seems this one may be the first Qi casualty. Three Newbies were the first visitors after this one was dropped. My guess is one of them took it and doesn't know what to do next.
