S*W*A*G - South West Arizona Geocachers - are an active group in and around Yuma Arizona. Many arrive when the heat subsides in the winter, but some stay in SW Arizona year-round. This geocoin, issued for the 2016 Mega Event by S*W*A*G features an Air Force jet with a flag background on one side and the reverse side shows the theme of the coin: Home of MCAS Yuma with their motto: Honor, Liberty, Peace.
The Marine Corp Air Station Yuma is currently the busiest air station in the Marine Corps, offering excellent year-round flying conditions and thousands of acres of open terrain for air-to-ground weapons ranges, and associated restricted airspace for military flight operations. A joint use civilian-military airport, MCAS Yuma shares airfield facilities with Yuma International Airport and occupies approximately 3,000 acres located 2 miles from Yuma, Arizona.
