My mission is to travel the world, collecting flowers along the way and eventually coming back home to sunny Florida.
You may attach a flower hitch hiker to me. Handcrafted with reusable materials is ideal! Please snap and send my owner a picture. My dream is to be a world-wide lei of handmade flowers.
This travel bug is a green tag with a flower hitchhiker. The flower was made (by me) by reusing aluminum soda cans. I wanted to get this TB out in recognition of America Recycles Day (NOV 15). I'm a few days past that, but EVERY DAY should be America Recycles Day!
Check with your county or city to see what you can recycle. If your county does not have a curbside recycle service, or a recycling drop-off center, speak with your local commissioners to start a program. We need to reduce our waste going into landfills. We reduce waste by using reusable containers for our lunches, using cloth towels instead of paper, and composting our food scraps. Reuse items by donating to your local thrift stores. Lastly, recycle! Most cities recycle paper, cardboard, aluminum and steel cans, and plastic bottles. Check with your waste management company to see if they accept plastic containers and glass jars and bottles.
