A Walk with Webfoot follows Webfoot as he goes about his geocaching odyssey.

About This Item

When I first discovered geocaching, back in March, 2001, I wondered how I could keep track of this new obsession of mine. Then I discovered how easy it would be to create a personal travel bug and this is the result. A Walk with Webfoot was created to follow the path that I take as I journey mostly around the state of California with a couple of sojourns outside the state, while geocaching along the way.

I also have a blog entitled Webfoot Wanderings, which is where I get to run off the mouth about a variety of things that I like to do, mostly photography, but occasionally I'll write about geocaching and other GPS games as well. Feel free to participate in any kind of dialog you want there. As one of my friends in his own blog states, "I don't bite."

You could look at this as my on-line blog of my successful geocaching experiences. I'll place this in caches of my own when I go out on maintenence runs as well. Hey, if I find my own, that's a success, isn't it?

I'd actually driven right by this one when I first got off the freeway, but had already decided to do the Harada House first. Then it was find a place to park and walk around to all of the others in the area. This was far enough away, that after my walk around town, I then walked back over to the Jeep and drove over, finding a parking spot just slightly north of where the information was that I needed.

Once, parked, I walked down to get the needed information and then it was a short walk over to ground zero. I actually got very lucky in there there were zero muggles around so I could search to my heart's content. I checked out one side and when I couldn't find anything there, turned my attention to the other side and then realized that I'd missed something on the first side, so I went back over there and quickly spotted the cache.

I was on a clock, sort of, since I was in a 90 minute parking zone and it was close to 90 minutes since I'd parked the geo mobile, so I made the decision to not go after one of the multis which was a little bit farther afield and instead, turn around and head over to this one since it was going to be on my way back to the car. I got the information needed for this, then made the short walk over and made the quick grab.

As long as I was in the area cleaning up the multi caches, I might as well go after the puzzles in the area too. Still haven't figured out one of the puzzles, but two others fell quickly by the wayside today, this one being one of them. Found the cache quickly and then moved on to the next multi cache.

Again, I was wandering around town picking up all of the newish multi caches that have published here since the last time I've been down to this area. Once I got my brain in gear, I only had problems with one of these murals coming up with the correct answers, and even there, I could see where the interpretation between what I saw and what the CO was seeing made for an easy mistake on my part. I found this one quickly and moved on to the next cache.

This one was the next one that I walked near on my walk around downtown Riverside this morning. I got the information I needed, then walked back to the final and made the grab. I then had to wait out a muggle who was slow walking through the parking lot. I just pretended to play Pokémon Go and he didn't even look at me a second time. One of the things about these is I'm getting my steps in for the day even if the D/T ratings are killing me. 😮😮😮
