15 Years of Geocaching Tag

WELL  FOLKS THE ORIGINAL TAG  HAS GONE, now a silver bottle top. Still  as special  to me!

To travel safely and visit many caches all over the world, maybe visiting  the oldest cache GC F...... a Wench  can  dream.

So many bugs, coins etc. are being simply retrieved and kept, or stolen I do  some days despair at as to why I bother!

Still I get such  pleasure from sincere and marvellous logs from  genuine and honest caches, it renews my faith in cachers and people on  the whole.

Perhaps you could add a photo of the bug  and  we can all follow the journey.

If taken  to  events, please ensure it is loged both in and out correctly  as several bugs have gone to meets and then have vanished, thanks.

Geocaching  began when DAVE ULMER hid the 1st cache GC F on  3rd of May 2000, in Oregon US.This was before caching as we now know it realy  was born.

An  event GC 5R5VT, Genesis was held by Gordon at the Great Witcombe Roman Villa Gloucestershire, on Sunday the 3rd of May 2015.

To  celebrate this amazing  and historic event at such  a beautiful location  was simply  wonderful. Plus it was host Gordon's 60th birthday  on  the 4th too.

We had such  good fun  and enjoyed a special  cake [birthday  and 15 years]...... even  the weather was kind. Cachers came from  far and wide and we managed to  collect a few caches in  the afrea too, bonus! All in  all  a marvellous day.

A small bottle top  shaped orange and silver tag, even the tracking number begins with 15! It is attached to  a small keyrin giving  a brief insight into the simple but omportant mission, heres to  the next 15 years......
