About This Item

Deze vuurtoren staat symbool voor de vuurtoren van Urk. Hij is 18,5 meter hoog en is te bezichtigen op het voormalige eiland Urk. De vuurtoren was een baken die de visserman de weg wijst in het donker naar veilige haven. 's Nachts stuurt de vuurtoren om de vijf seconden een lichtsignaal over Urk uit. Vanaf de toren zijn bij helder weer de provincies Flevoland, Noord-Holland en Friesland te zien.
