About This Item

We were thrilled to receive one of Amberel’s Top Cache Geocoins for our Berth-day Bounty Cache GC7C836 following his visit there in August this year.

We placed the cache whilst EL and family were on a canoe trip along the Basingstoke Canal to celebrate her birthday and in order to visit this cache you will most certainly need a boat of some description.

The cache is situated within Great Bottom Flash (yes, this really is the name) and is situated on a partially submerged steel barge, on the dry bit. The launch spot that we used gives a pleasant paddle up to the cache.

Basingstoke Canal Authority kindly gave us permission to place the cache.
