Current Goal

This travel bug has two modest goals, to survive more than five years and to be moved by at least 25 cachers. As of 11-Jun-19 it had survived for 2.8 years and had been moved by 13 cachers.

Please drop it in rural OR Premium Member Only caches.  Do not place it in an urban cache or abandon it at a caching event.  Transport the bug in the original plastic bag for as long as the bag lasts; the bag keeps the trackable clean, protects the number and prevents tangling with other items.  Otherwise, take the travel bug anywhere you wish.  No permission is needed to leave the U.S.

Travel bug photos are appreciated and will be re-posted here.

About This Item

The flag of Zimbabwe was adopted in 1980.  Its colors are those of the ruling party, but also the pan-African colors.  The soapstone bird featured on the flag represents a statuette of a bird found at the ruins of Great Zimbabwe.  The bird symbolizes the history of Zimbabwe; the red star beneath it symbolizes the revolutionary struggle for liberation and peace.

Officially, the meanings of the colors on the flag are as follows: green for the agriculture and rural areas of Zimbabwe; yellow for the wealth of minerals in the country;  red for the blood shed during the struggle for independence; black for the heritage, ethnicity and community of the native Africans of Zimbabwe; white is for peace.
