About This Item

Essex Flag

On the 21st of September 2013 Chloe and Rob got married under an oak tree in the back garden of the house in which Chloe grew up, in Essex.  All their friends and family gathered and they had the most wonderful day.  Later to celebrate the start of their new life together as husband and wife they traveled to Cuba on honeymoon.  While in Cuba they released two travel bugs representing Chloe the Bride, Essex born and bred, and Rob the Groom (TB523P5), a Nottingham lad.  Their hope is to be re-united for a kiss in Cambridge - their new shared home - in between their two birth counties!

After almost 3 years of journeying, we have been overjoyed that Chloe the Bride and Rob the Groom have been re-united with us and each other. 😁

Thank you to everyone who has taken part in their wonderful journey, it has been a real privilege and treat to follow their adventures around the world. We didn't know if we'd ever see them again when we set them free on our honeymoon, on a very hot day in Cuba, but we should have known we could rely on the wonderful worldwide geocaching community.

Between them they've covered over 30,000 miles (more than the cirumferance of the earth) and been discovered by scores of different people. We hope you all enjoyed taking part because we loved every log post and update on their adventure. A special thank you to Bears In The Wood for standing on the shoulders of giants and carrying them both on the final leg to our home town of Cambridge. 😎

They're going to take a well deserved rest for a while now but who knows, they might come out of retirement for some more adventuring, or they might pass the mantle on to a new member of the family - Alexis the Daughter! We shall see.

Once again, thank you so much everyone! 🙂
