In Loving Memory of My Uncle Jim
(March 24, 1955 - August 18, 2009)
To have it's picture taken with his fellow firefighters from around the globe. Please snap a picture with a fellow firefighter, fire station or firetruck and post to the trackable log. Placed in memory of my Uncle by my son. Please help this little engine see the world!
PLEASE, DO NOT KEEP THIS TRACKABLE! PLEASE, LOG IT'S TRAVELS, TAKE PLENTY OF PICTURES AND MOVE ALONG! :) THANK YOU!
He was born in Pocatello, Idaho on March 24, 1955 and raised by two loving parents, Jim and Carolyn . He was the second of four children.
Jim met his high school sweetheart, Ann , at Highland High School in April 1973. They later married on August 14, 1976 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Pocatello, Idaho. They were blessed with two daughters, Nicole and Whitney.
After graduating high school, Jim worked at J.R. Simplot as a laborer. He then attended Idaho State University College of Technology graduating in body mechanics. Upon graduation, Jim worked at Paul’s Pontiac and strived for perfection. Jim knew his real love was to become a firefighter. In October of 1980, Jim’s dream was realized when he became a firefighter for the City of Pocatello.
Jim loved the outdoors, including skiing, camping, softball, and track and field. He received many trophies and medals from the Idaho Police and Firefighters games held in Pocatello and Sacramento, California; and the World Police and Firefighter Olympics held in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Jim was also a talented and accomplished artist continuing to draw, with the help of a computer, throughout his illness.
In June 1985, Jim was diagnosed with ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease prompting him to retire early from the fire department. Doctors gave him six months to live and he was told he would not survive to see his youngest daughter born. Jim defied his prognosis and beat all odds seeing his daughters grow up and graduate, walk them down the aisle, and become mothers themselves.

Sorry, we don't know any firemen but hopefully you will be picked up by one in the UK. Fire engines are definitely better in the USA though
