This travel bug is to commerate the 70th anniversary of D-Day, 6 June 1944.
His mission is to travel to as many WWII sites as possible.
This grenade-tossing "army man" represents all of the Allied men that participated in Operation Neptune, the landings at Normandy beaches on 6 June 1944.
D-Day was the largest seaborne invasion in history and began the invasion of German-occupied western Europe, led to the restoration of the French Republic, and contributed to an Allied victory in the war
