The New Hampshire Racing TB is now in a race across the country against 6 other Racing Bugs to get to the oldest cache which is furthest away in the contiguous United States: Phil’s Memorial Cache (GC5B). Bonus points if it can manage to make it to any other oldest cache in a state, and double bonus points for making it to Mingo (GC30) in Kansas, which is the oldest cache in the USA. Will this bug make it to the final destination? Or will it be swept up into the pocket or backpack of a forgetful cacher who neglects to move it on? And if it does make it, will the New Hampshire Racing TB be the first to get there?
Feel free to let it visit a few spots along the way or attend an event, and please post a picture or two of its travels. But please, keep it moving. It IS in a race after all!
This travel bug is part of a set of 7 trackables placed on a trip through 7 states in the northeast where the oldest caches in New Jersey, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Maine, and Vermont were found. This one was originally placed in “NH #1 - Mines Follies” (GC9E), the oldest cache in New Hampshire on June 24, 2018.
UPDATE:
As of August 9, 2021 this cache has visited the oldest caches in NJ, CN (twice), RI (twice), MA (twice), NH, ME, VT, NY, MI, IL and OH. It also visited the 2nd oldest in ID. As it sat in one of the oldest in Washington in an ammo can, it actually survived a fire and was rescued by a kind cacher.
