The Adventures of Samboo Bear

Samboo was found in the cache - Pot Luck (GCNGWB) where he, along with everything else in the cache, was wet, smelly and very very scared (well Samboo was scared, not sure about the logbook and stash ). We replaced the contents of the container and took Samboo home where we gave him a bath, dried him out, and helped his injuries heal. He decided he wanted to come with us on our geocaching adventures but he doesn't want to be placed inside any more caches (he still gets nightmares). Instead he will remain with us and VISIT caches we find with him. Geocaching friends might like to DISCOVER him at events and in the field. This TB page will be a log of his adventures.

Samboo Bear was left in the Pot Luck cache in January 2015 by a cacher named Samboo21. We think he might have been a well-loved bear before he had been left, but the cache (and Samboo) got really wet and as a result some of Samboo's fabric bits had disintegrated. He had lost all the stuffing out of his legs, and his arms, head and body were very floppy. He had 'surgery' to repair his legs and fill out his body a little more, and we have been taking him on outings as part of his rehabilitation. 

Please be aware when you meet him to keep any chocolate you have in your possession well and truely secured. He is a known chocolate thief. His philosophy is "if its chocolate, then it is mine. If its not chocolate, you can keep it".. Samboo also likes having his photo taken and would be pleased to appear in any selfies your might take.

At Christmas 2016, Samboo was given a puppy, Max - short for Maximum Adventures. While not a TB in his own right, Max often accompanies Samboo on his adventures.
