My goal is to travel to many beaches. It would be especially nice to visit beaches on all continents. Please help me get there. At the same time, enjoy the beach.
If you cannot drop me off at or near a beach just move me along. In your log please share you beach experience or simply your thoughts of a beach.
My owner purchased me at the Georgia Sea Turtle Center on Jekyll Island, Georgia, USA. Through sea turtle rehabilitation, research and educational programs, the Center works to increase awareness of habitat and wildlife conservation challenges, promote responsibility for ecosystem health and empower individuals to act locally, regionally, and globally to protect the environment. It is a fascinating operation; if you have a chance, visit the Centre, otherwise just check it out using you favorite search engine.
My owner then launched me at a travel bug hotel on Tybee Island, Georgia. Both Jekyll and Tybee are know for their quality of beach as well as being turtle nesting habitats.
Both islands are the epitome of life at the beach; even if just for a few hours.
As with most of their travel bugs, the owners have incorporporated part of their geocaching name, ic-it (pronounced I see it) into the travel bug name.
My owners are from Winnipeg, Canada. They launched me while on a wonderful vacation on Tybee Island, a place significantly warmer than home, at least in the winter months.
