This travel bug has two modest goals, to survive more than five years and to be moved by 25 cachers. As of 15-Jun-18 it had been circulating for 5.1 years, but it had been moved by only 24 cachers.
Please drop this item in rural OR Premium Member Only caches. Do not place it in an urban cache or abandon it at a caching event. Transport the bug in the original plastic bag for as long as the bag lasts; the bag keeps the trackable clean, protects the number and prevents tangling with other items. Otherwise, take the travel bug anywhere you wish. No permission is needed to leave the U.S.
Travel bug photos are appreciated. I will re-post them here, where they can be seen by other cachers.
The flag of the US Virgin Islands was adopted in 1921. It consists of a simplified version of the Great Seal of the United States between the letters V and I (for Virgin Islands). The eagle holds an laurel stem in one talon, and three arrows in the other, representing the three major islands: Saint Thomas, Saint John, and Saint Croix. Additionally, the colors of the flag are: yellow, representing various characteristics of the territory and the flowers; green, symbolizing the hills; white, depicting the clouds; blue, representing the waters and red, representing love. There is also an overlaid badge of six white and seven red perpendicular bands under a blue pane on the chest of the eagle.
