Templar Geocoin - Antique Gold
The coin is finished in antique gold and 1.75 inches diameter (app. 44 mm); 3 mm thickness.
The front of the coin has a shield of the crusaders bearing the cross of the Knights Templar. Around the edge of the coin is a red band engraved with the Latin inscriptions: 'non nobis domine, non nobis, sed nomini tuoda gloriam' (Not unto us, not unto us O Lord, but unto thy name, give the glory) and 'pauperes commilitones christi templique salomonici hierosalemitanis' (The Poor Fellow-Soldiers of Christ and of the Temple of Solomon) The back of the coin has the traditional seal of the Knights Templar with two knights riding a single mount. There is a similar red band around the edge of the coin and the engraved latin inscriptions: 'Sigillum Militum Xpisti' (Seal of the army of Christ) and 'cambiare vel quaerere nullus audeat'(No one should replace or seek – XXXIX. Rule from 1128)
