[PT] Terra de gente arreigada, de tradições tauromáquicas cuja origem se perde na bruma dos tempos, o Ribatejo é um destino que vai gostar de descobrir... a cavalo. É nas lezírias férteis do Ribatejo que cresce o touro bravo, ainda hoje à guarda dos campinos envergando os típicos trajes de garridos bonés. São vidas duras que ensinaram aos homens a valentia do toureio e da pega, duas artes que se mantêm bem vivas na região. Este é também um espaço privilegiado do cavalo puro sangue Lusitano, animal nobre e de postura altiva, inteligente e dócil, que vive em plena liberdade nos campos e pastagens. Não há melhor forma de conhecer a fundo a vivência desta gente, intimamente ligada a estes animais, que num passeio a cavalo recheado de aventura. É uma excelente proposta para umas mini-férias, se gosta de ar livre e de alguma actividade, aproveitando o clima ideal que se sente por estas paragens. Em alternativa, assista a uma garraiada - participe se ousar! - ou a uma tourada à portuguesa, antiga arte através da qual a nobreza treinava os cavalos para a guerra e ainda hoje uma das mais genuínas tradições portuguesas. A Companhia das Lezírias, a maior exploração agro-pecuária e florestal do País, é um excelente sítio para começar. Além de ver os cavalos na Coudelaria Braço de Prata, almoce no restaurante e leve as crianças à Quinta Pedagógica, onde os mais novos aprendem a fazer o pão e contactam mais de perto com o mundo rural. Imperdíveis são também as visitas à feira da Golegã e a Alpiarça.

Alternatively, catch a bullock fighting - participate if you dare! - Or the Portuguese bullfighting, ancient art by which the nobility was training horses for war and still today one of the most genuine Portuguese traditions. The Company Lezírias, the largest farm animal husbandry and forestry in the country, is an excellent place to start. Besides seeing the horses in the Stud Silver Arm, have lunch in the restaurant and take the children to School Farm, where the young learn to make bread and a closer contact with the rural world. Missed are also the visits to the fair and Golegã of Alpiarça.
