Todie's Wild Ride was started to bring awareness to bikes on the road, be they motorized or someone pedalling about! Bikes have just as much right to use the roads as do ay of us in cars or trucks, please remember this and give us all due room! When driving, pay close attention to others around you, driving and talking on the phone is as bad as drunk driving, you are just as distracted and the likelihood of not seeing a problem is intensified! Distracted driving is dangerous driving! When driving, please pay attention! Motorcycles are harder to spot in traffic, the smaller size often allows people to just look through or past them! The majority of car/bike accidents are caused by a drvier turning in front of a motorcycle, their usual excuse: "I didn't see him". One good practice to help spot bikes, count them as you pass them or encounter them along your travels! Watching for bikes will greatly improve your chances of seeing us!
In memory of Todie Joe Phillips! Tod (pronounced Todd) was taken from us Aug 12th 2009 when a careless driver pulled into his lane causing Tod to make a life or death choice...Tod's bike high-sided and Tod was killed. What was the reason the driver turned into Tod's lane..."I didn't see him". Please keep this coin moving to help sread bike awareness.
