Have you ever been driving along and wondered what the other drivers all around you are doing? Cell phone; texting; iPod; checking the kids; having a snack; touching up the makeup; or in the case of Stephen King, trying to keep their dog out of a cooler of meat in the back seat. Seriously, the list is endless! No matter how adept of a driver you are, much of your health and safety lies in the hands of the other drivers around you, even the distracted ones, and if you're on a bike, the stakes are even higher. Sometimes the best defense is a good offense: take as much control as you can by wearing that helmet you have. And if you don't have one, get one. Look around - do you really want to put your life in these people's hands?!!
